W.C. Mo. | Those old bridges were a real marvel. Friend of mine took me to see an old wood tressel over I beleive the Grand River valley SE of Jeff City Mo. Supposed to be the longest wooden bridge in the inland US. We walked out a ways, really spooky walking over the open ties and seeing the ground 50+ ft below. Every 50 ft the ties were 4 ft longer so the workers had a place to stand as the trains went by. | |
