So far, in the corn, I haven't had a problem...........yet. I think my herbicide mixed with 30 gal. liquid N applied after I plant but before the corn is up takes care of the slimy buggers, as that N really has some burn to it!
I was checking a field of stalks that I had drilled beans into last spring, thinking since it wasn't straw stubble or a thick weed mat, I wouldn't have to worry about slugs. HA! Shoulda known better. I got out there about 6:30 pm on a cool cloudy overcast day. I could not believe how the ground was seemingly alive with slugs! You literally could not walk across that field withou stepping on them. That field made me part with about $325 at TSC for an electric seeder for the front of the 4 wheeler and I started scattering the bait. It was great, one of the few times something actually worked. By the time you came back from the other end of a pass, you could see dead slugs.

Appreciate all the tips...............Thanks, The Dumb Farmer
