NCNE, OM ~ 1.5, CEC ~ 9.0 | Chad, Thank you very much for your reply. Since you've recently analyzed this, have you ever considered or heard of an arrangement that was more based upon "share cropping"? For instance, I was wondering if I couldn't "share crop" his field that is going into beans this year and he could "share crop" my field that is going into corn? This way I can build my own database on both crops over four years while mitigating my risk by diversifying into two crops in slightly different locations. We were hailed badly three years in a row in the late 70's and then had to endure the Russian grain embargo and Volker's 18.5% discount rates in the early 80's and those memories haven't been easy for me to forget.
