Subject: Re: House Foundation Question

NW Ohio,near Findlay
JB59, yes to all suggestions, but I didn't get into that, thought would confuse issue. We alway isolate inside and outside with two sump pumps. We use Hancor, trade namae, hy-flow (smooth wall inside) for outside sump pump shaft, wall. Do not use standard flex 12 inch 15 or 18 standing up, will slowly collapse down with dirt weight. Last basement we did for a farmer, he can up with the idea and it works good, the inside and outside sump pump are and is nice to be in same corner, wall run for outlet. He worried if outside pump quite for some reason in bad weather, or maybe he wasn't home. We used a schedule 40 pipe poured into bottom of footer with collar in center of footer(anti seep) . This 4inch plastic pipe goes between inside and outside pits. On inside we glued a threaded removeable plug, so if outside pit could be diverted to inside for emergency only or visa vera. Farmer wired up extra pill float connected to light in house warning him if outside pump failed. Sounds complicated, but worked good. Any questions, email me.
