I run Amsoil XL series synthetics in my small engines, lower cost then the series 2000 I run in my truck, but still I feel starts easier, protects better, and keeps it simple. the XL series is a bit cheaper due to a bit fewer additivites, In my opinion I'd put it (XL) on par with a Mobil 1 synthetic.
