Perhaps farmers would have to rotate fields that cornstalks are harvested from. That could mitigate some of the soil depletion problems. I read an article today that mentioned making ethanol out of the DDGs using the cellulosic process. That could make the economics of corn based ethanol look more promising in the longer term rather than just the short term that many are thinking. Don't have any money invested in ethanol, but its amazing how fast the infrastructure has been built. What's going on at the plant by Atwater, heard they are building a storage facility there?
