There is no way in hell that's gonna work.  If a guy can make an extra $$ selling the stover, you know damn well some guys are going to do 100% each and every year.  Especially when you look at the logistics of cellulosic ethanol and the volume required.  The cost of transporting is going to make or break the business.  Acres close to those plants are going to be pushed hard.

We farm where land should be terraced and contoured.  Some guys do, but some have never spent one dime on terraces, waterways, etc., and continue to farm straight rows.  Then they complain the damn county doesn't keep their ditches cleaned out.  This will be no different.
