In the spring of 2008 HRS hit $20/bu and Durum wheat $25/bu. I am sure that by the time that wheat arrived at the mills of its final destination somewhere across a vast ocean that the cost to the miller was significantly higher. I believe that those high prices greatly lowered buyers resistance to GMO wheat. The next time a shortage occurs, buyers will be screaming for GMO wheat.
