Aberdeen MS
I had a small loss due to commercial sprayer error.

All my contracts were filled by the time we got the weigh wagon to the field to establish loss. We both agreed that if I was still delivering on contracts, the contract open at the time of delivery would have been the price agreed on. All my grain goes to the coop off the combine, it would be a bit different maybe having on site storage.

The damage was assessed on a Sun, so took the cash price offered on Fri to establish value of lost potential. A bit in my favor as nothing was taken into account for drying costs, but not that much as the "check" was 18.6% moisture and the damaged was 18.8%.

Damage occurred from the boom not being flushed but the tank sucked empty. Loss amounted to 57 bushels/$200. Nothing that set either myself or the coop back/forward at all. Just keeping all involved "honest", that's all.
