Somebody thinking outside of the box would be working on anaerobic microbes living in the soil and their impact on plant health and yields.

Sulfur ? , read a good paper years ago about Nitrogen fixing bacteria ??? the feeding of anaerobic microbes ! and S being so very critical

S is one Nutrient I do not use a soil nor tissue to be my guide concerning application

Food for thought !
