North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt !
Well, S. Of HN's
I have observed not only broadcast at the stage you are talking about, But flown on also at most all stages ! NO Negative issues

So 2 years ago I went out in an area of a corn field that had some water damage and Hand spread different formulas, some straight urea and some blended with AMS !

Then the same Blend plus i added some k also. No Burn any place at all

So, Maybe the damage theme ? is a cautionary Myth ??? Started by someone promoting knifing in the N ? rather than Broadcasting the Urea over the top ??? I do not Know
