I don't think you'll take much yield hit. We sidedressed NH3 for years. I got tired of replacing shear bolts on the shanks from rocks. And whiffing in the fumes. Tried urea and never went back. Its alot easier to use if your fields are odd shaped hilly and stoney. Which is what we got. Only one time with COC could I see the spread pattern on the headlands. We spread just before field cultivating.
