Subject: Agrotain

Urbandale Ia, (but originally from SE IA)
I don't think you'll see a difference assuming normal rainfall. If its that dry, yields will prbly suffer anyway. That said, I'd invest the $2.50-3 for Agrotain as an insurance policy, gives you 2 weeks stabilization. I'd also say the fears of leaving it on top are overblown.
I'm assuming you do have some down pre-plant & are just side dressing a portion. Might think a bit differently if you are going total side dress. A popular program here is 80-90# actual liquid 32 w herb., f-b 46# Urea side-dress(100# product) for corn following soybeans. A few guys use it to give their corn on corn acres an added boost late too.

U can run & be done in no time at all.
