Not sure where you are, but- are you sure your neighbor has rootworms? We've planted corn after corn between a broadleaf crop a number of times, no insecticide and no rootworms other than seed treatmant. We'd scouted in the first year of corn, however. Not sure if its still an option for him, but Poncho 1250 is better than nothing. I'm not sure about the weed issues. For us, RUR corn never made a lot of sense, weed control in conventional corn was pretty cheap and reasonable in most cases. RUR is obviously a lot more forgiving time wise.
