Subject: Iowa guys-- any of you close enough to DNR & new rule re applying liquid manure to frozen ground???

Oskaloosa, Iowa 52577

As i recall, there are allowable exceptions-------any of you close enough to new rules/DNR, etc etc to have a feel for how those are going to be applied??

With this wet weather, and short time period before freezeup, I am concerned that we might not get enough slurry applied to get the pits of all the confinements down far enough to get them thru to March/April............

So, am wanting to get some ideas now.

For example, one that appears that we need to do.........chisel the stalks, especially on the hills, and make sure contour is observed, so can broadcast later and not have a lot of running downhill.

I would like to mesh with DNR.........but of course, have not heard back from them yet--------they must be getting ready for Thanksgiving!!??!?!

Thanks.
