I can't say for sure, but  I really don't think the elevation mask will affect WAAS reception.  The elevation mask is used to remove GPS satellites that are very low on the horizon and therefore less accurate in attaining a GPS fix.  The WAAS signal is just a correction signal and the position of the WAAS satellite does not affect the quality of that correction.  If a manufacturer is masking the WAAS signal by elevation, that is a firmware bug and they should fix it.
