Good point, and easy to test, just set elevation mask angle greater than WAAS satellite elevation at your location and see if you still get WAAS corrections when enough GPS sats are visible above elevation mask angle for DGPS.

I don't have any idea how folks firmware do elevation masking, or how many bugs that has. My suggestion was just a shot in dark attempt to recover from FAA's less than stellar WAAS constellation coverage here in northeast. Our local Trimble/Agleader folks were no help, they didn't even know that WAAS's AOR-W satellite had been moved from Atlantic to Pacific ocean, in February of this year :(
