Ellsworth IL | Well, I mis- spoke on the dryer bin, it's a Shivvers style and yes it has a spreader . All the spreaders I've seen won't send the lighter fines and reddog nearly as far as the heavier corn anyway, laws of Physics and all , and there were a lot of fines.
The crib, nope no spreader BUT there were so many fines spread out in each 20 x 8 section that I don't think a spreader would have helped . You gotta understand, this thing was FULL of fines and reddog and the only place there wasn't fines was at the extreme reach of where the chutes would send the corn to on the fly.
These guys are both regular customers so I'm familiar with their grain management abilities and both are good to excellent on their normal quality, just this year what always worked isn't. | |
