Western EC Iowa | Two of us spent the better part of this morning in our wet holding bin with pitchforks to get the bottom emptied out. It is a 27 ft flat floor with 10hp motor and the air wasn't getting through the corn. We then wanted to fill with corn from the bin next to it. It ran out after a couple minutes. All of the fines have collected in the center and it was hot and not running out. We then went on to core four more bins. Two of which ran fine, one that we got absolutely nothing to run and another that ran very slowly till I got in - with a pitchfork... None of these bins is more than half full and a couple of them only had about 5 feet in them. Not complaining, just informing that there may be problems lurking. Good luck and be safe. Ben | |
