North Dakota | I see what you are saying but. I still believe the generic folicur is cheap insurance especially for wheat on wheat. Even watching the Universities web site to check for scab probability and risk, it is still a gamble. I try to watch the forecast and determine if it needs to be done. But guess what, our weather man is sometimes wrong. The conditions at the current time may say not to spray along with the extended forecast and after 3 days of mist or wet mornings and you have missed the boat. A trip at flowering gives you FHB protection along with protecting the flag for better head fill. You make it sound pretty cut and dried which I dont think it is. Having your own rig to do it makes the decision a little easier. Years when pressure is high it can be tuff to find a plane to do it with such a short window. | |
