Subject: Re: Farm Progress Show and golf carts

Kansas
3-I show here in KS for years let people bring whatever they wanted to ride around (atv's, mules, gators, old lawn tractors, adult sized tricycles), about 10-12 years ago if you had a motorized vehicle they made you pay $5 for a sticker to put on while there, but now I hear it's only golf carts or your own handicapped scooters. I've heard that it was either a liability issue with the other things or that the show did a deal with the golf cart suppliers. I admit to being one of those younger guys who brought their atv to the show. Instead of being called out as lazy I was always told (by mostly the older generation) that by riding around I didn't see everything at the show. I still don't agree with that because I'm not blind and that stuff that don't apply to my opperation like irrigation why should I waste my time and some company guy's? I do need to walk more though now, and I hope I can make it up to the NAT get together at Husker Harvest.
