Subject: RE: Questions for Western hay growers

Why do they import hay? Because they have no affordable space to do so in their country. When space is limited like in Japan, the little space that there is is very expensive. It has to be used for its most economical use. Not growing hay.

So why not buy our packaged meat? Because it does not meet the very high safety standards of some of the importing countries. It also does not meet some of the cultural demands with reguards to color, fat content and marbling, age and size of the animal at slaughter, etc.

Hooks, chaps, elevators and even grapples are getting to be found only in antique stores. The only time a pair of hooks come out is if you loose a block with the squeeze. After you do this once or twice, you try harder to never do it again. Just google hay sqeeze for pictures of many designs.
