Grand Rapids, MI | Last I heard they were shutting down potash production mid 2008 but continuing to produce salt there. I don't really keep up in the agronomic supply world anymore, so I can't say for sure what its status is.
I know it is owned by Moasic, and it was a very small producer of potash, I think about 150,000 tons per year. (Output in the SK mines is measured in millions of tons/year)
Bill Moyer may know more, and I would be curious why this deposit hasn't been developed more. I suspect it may have something to do with being so deep.
