Subject: Red vs White Potash

Kindersley Sk.
I went in to town today and picked-up my usual dry fertilizer blend (MAP and Potash) so I can plant Winter Wheat tomorrow. I was surprized when I opened the chute on the truck and found the normal white Potash I get from the fertilizer retailer (Viterra) was replaced by dark red granules. I seem to remember some posters have a strong preference for one over the other, but I don't remember why or for which. Can anyone enlighten me?
