3 months ago my 40 year old wife was showered up, dressed, eating at a table, and walking around slowly 24 hours after a C section.  Not twins though.

Plan A, in consultation with friends, was to take off week 1, work from home week 2, and start the day an hour late and come home an hour early week 3.  Plan A did not work out, but it was not due to physical complications from her surgery.

I am sure there are lots better ways to do it than actually worked out for us and having twins is a wrinkle but it sounds like you have a pretty good support system worked out.
