It's the time of the year when guys go full on depressed mode and do stupid things. Like the guy who just dumped all of his crop (commercially stored) last week. Netted $3.59 his words.
We have the seasonals ahead of us. The next two months will be rough for guys who need to puke unhedged corn and beans to pay off operating or mother Deere loans. I don't feel sorry for them.
And your last line is precious because it is so true. But those guys are snowmobiling and playing on a beach because farming is such an easy gig. Levered young guys do that. | |
