I've done this with some manure and other fertilizer equipment. It has worked pretty well. Trying to form a plan to do like you describe with a sprayer. Sprayers just seem tough on paper to justify but one of the tools that you gotta have. Hard to put numbers on timeliness of spraying but we all know it's valuable.
