NW Wisconsin | Im a STO run about 150 acres. I borrow a lot of equipement from neighbors when I need it. Skid steers and attachments, rock pickers, rollers stuff of that nature. Like you said with the cost of stuff right now it just doesnt pencil to buy a lot of that. heck most of them I just pay back by helping them out when they need help with a project that needs another set of hands. Neighbors around me share a lot of low acre stuff. Alfalfa Drill, Roller, manure spreaders, payloaders sufff of that nature.
ROI is never good on any new equipment for the most part. Thats why I got a 1566, 6650 CIH, and a 21 foot willrich field cultivator. Does the trick and does that same job as something new.
Until a lot of built up money runs dry from the past couple years I doubt much will change. | |
