Subject: Re: 9870 STS critique

We have a hard time keeping a 9750sts full with a 16/22 deere head, so good luck with a 6rw keeping a 9870sts full. All the rumors that a 9860sts or a 9870sts cannot pick 200 bushel corn with a 12rw or larger head above 4mph. all comes back to individuals who don't understand the rotor threshing system, let alone the combine in general.Wonder when Case will build a flexhead that cuts lower than 4"or above 4 mph.hmm. makes you think don't it??????? Also here's a old rule on the cleaning shoe, length not width is very important, makes sense when you think about it, yes case has a wider shoe, but when the rotors [including deere] dump heavy on the right in corn what does width give you, and the opposite in small grains.
