I have one at 45 degrees and I don't think I worry about how far it reaches
I could put 5 things 7 feet apart turn it on for a 1/2 an hour and take a ir gun and check them
but I don't think it is a big deal
the room heats up have a guy with a 40 x 80 the unit is side to side ,in the middle the room
is 2 degrees different from end to end
