New London, Wisconsin | I went to an inventors seminar once put on by a very flamboyant guy who invented part of and marketed the K40 CB antenna.
His idea was first know your market.
Second, just get it into production and out sell the competitors.
Third, don't try to retire on the first attempt. Let the market tell you how good it is.
Fourth, his thoughts on patents and copy rights were they would get violated no matter how much you try to spend to defend it if the market is there for the product.
Fifth, if you really are good at inventing, you will use this as a learning curve and make more money on the next ideas.
