Back in the day,
It was recommended to,
Put a set of your notes and drawings in an envelope and mail them to yourself.
Post mark the flap after sealing it up.
Then put this in a bank safe deposit box.
This is your proof of when you came up with the idea.
I think all of the rules were changed decades ago.
Not really sure what is done today.
