I know a guy with a couple patents under his belt, as well as a couple ideas he had (along with prototypes) he pitched to existing manufacturers.
Said that unless you were able to make it yourself, or had access to someone who could, it was far better to pitch it to a company, and to keep good records as to what you made, when you pitched it, who you talked to, etc, etc.
Who to talk to about a manufacturing hand tool idea I have???
