We generally run a new combine, talked to a dealer on a 23 model and he said there have been or will be two double digit price increases since the the 22 model in our shed before the 23 model year. Equates to almost a 30% increase. The dealer is just as perplexed as the customers, trying to figure how much money to put in the used one. Combines generally most risky to dealers. We feel we have been able to run a new one for almost same money as a 1000 hr one over the years as far as cost per acre but afraid it is coming to a end. Everything you price or look at seems absolutely crazy. The last time the corn price went up, machinery went up but nothing like this. Even old corn sold for 8$ doesn’t have near the buying power it did in 2012 or last big corn price years. If this thing stops there is going to be a lot of blood. I guess at this point I give Deere the finger. Screw em.

Red 9250 is $125k higher for next year than the new ones for this year. June order dates.
