| We’re kind of in North, north eastern Colorado. And some in east central Colorado. To answer your question on feed what’s helped sustain us is irrigated corn for corn silage and wet beat pulp if we can get it cheap when there plant breaks down. Our biggest problem with that is these feed brokers and custom operators. All they want to do is park down at these big feedlots and say to hell with the rest of us medium size outfits. Getting a hay grinder or a forage chopper over here to grind or chop for us anymore is about impossible. No point in having a business like that and leave 2/3s of the people on the table. So we have to figure it out on our own. Get by on a 3 row chopper and 1 truck. We raise cattle and and a majority sheep. Also feedlot both calves and lambs. | |
