western iowa,by Denison | Talking to someone that was at the pork congress, He made the comment that lot of hog farmers-that feed fat hogs are gearing up to handle-and get thru $9-$10 corn this fall and winter-Not happy but going to weather the storm so to speak-had myself last Nite tossing and turning-wondering what my program will be going forward'
I have not run out of feed for over 20 years-always sourcing ,buying, storing, piling for 1-2 years-this year I will get to the back of the corn pit-the corn will be over 5 years old-my bin will be swept out its been in there 8 plus years-around 8,000 bushel in 2 24ft bins.
The old saying of "Your not broke till you run out of feed" is takin on new meaning
The 100 bushel of corn +$100 for cost of gain is Quickly making feeding cattle a expensive hobby!
