well, as it turns out, a freak thing happened. there had been a pile of brush in a field that got burnt. then covered with snow. Apparently, as i drove over the remains of a tree, it somehow turned up and got stuck in the spreader chain. should be good to go after i get the bolt for the chain tightener. Helps when you look at things in the daylight.
ugh. i need spreader help
