| It rain again and I'll be out of the field for a couple of days, so....
Turns out my turbo swap was no problem - same part numbers (per cummins)
Cummins started me looking for a restriction somewhere and we plan to look at the fuel supply and return lines (pressurized the tank a little and see what comes out of the line). I'm going to install my original engine fuel filter set up (single filter, but it was in use recently and should be clear of junk) and check the intake to pump line for restriction/rust/very small cat or mouse or both.
As far as the VS fuel pump set up goes, I think once I get the power going the automotive pump will work good enough to get done. With low power the problems with running the non-VS pump are magnified greatly. Afaik the auto type pump doesn't really want to stay at one rpm as much and with low power/fuel/boost there is so much turbo sag that it's almost undriveable accept at full throttle.
I'm still praying for wisdom and getting a little closer to having a really nice tractor that's too big and I appreciate the help,
Thanks,
