Mid Michigan
Our Gleaner combine is like working on a russian nesting doll. Last week it was the variable speed unit. Yesterday getting ready to take to different place dad greased it and pointed at the drive belt and it had a big chunk out of it and was on it's last legs. I had just showered and had fresh washed coat and coveralls on thinking I could stay clean for 5 minutes. I was wrong. Took it off, dad went and got new belt, got it back together and I was already filthy 1 hour into the day. It worked. I didn't want that to break in the middle of the road somewhere. Ended up being too muddy to run though. Got a couple wagons full and aborted. Will have to wait for a decent freeze.
