I recommend pulling all the cable out & then figure out the max length needed for your swing hopper. Then put one full wrap on the spool plus the extra amount you calculated. That should do it. Yes, as others say, make sure you have a good connection right to the tractor battery. I use "Anderson" connectors to attach power cables together.

One problem I see with doubler blocks is that they take up another 6-8" of space in the cable hook-up that you may not have to spare.

I think our winch is a 2500# winch & it picks up the 13" swing around just fine. I also use a wireless remote so everything can be done from the tractor cab while moving away from the bin.
