| We use a 5,000# winch on our 13" Westfield auger hopper. Winch is mounted on the main tube just ahead of where main auger attaches to the boot.Cable is still routed thru the lift arm like oem. Cable has at least 3 wraps on the winch. We used 6 Guage wire connected directly to the tractor battery(s) with a HD snap connector, pic attached, on the back of the tractor so we can unhook from auger w/o having to disconnect wires from the batteries. We have 3 tractors settup this way, 2 older IHs with 2 6v batteries & a Maxxumm 115 with a 12v battery. No issues with any of the tractors lifting the hopper
