SW Sask | When I worked inside a major ag manufacturer, it was enough to make my head spin. Some of the decisions that were made seemed very out-of-touch with the industry as I saw it from my perspective.
I decided that either 1) those folks had to be a lot smarter than me, or 2) they had access to different information, and that was what drove their decisions.
Now, I ain't particularly smart, but I met enough people at levels above me to get REALLY comfortable with the idea that #1 was not likely to be the answer.
But I could never refute #2. And that helped me cling to the last shreds of my sanity. When I could not for the life of me understand a decision, I could always ease my mind by considering that they had different information. Not necessarily better info, and not necessarily worse. Just different.
