I was just discussing the epoxy leaking issue with my buddy today.. and we were thinking of doing something similar to what you suggest as far as making a dam or backer board' to help contain any seepage . Truthfully I'm not losing a whole lot warpage,,,as you say it can be cut into smaller strips for other things. Our biggest goof when cutting the boards was not making them thick enough to account for warpage and twist etc. Frustrating to have a beautiful 8 ft x 8" wide board thats warped just enough that its unusable as an 8 ft board LOL.. can usually get 8ftx 4" strips.. or a pair of 4ftx 8" etc
