East Central Nebraska | Built a house and moved in Mar 2020. Absolutely love it and wish I would have done 10 years ago. I was on the edge of town and now out in the country. Search house plans on goggle and have fun :(. Wife and I looked thru hundreds of plans and couldn't decide. I sat down and drew up a rough draft of her thoughts and wishes and combined with mine. Found several similar ideas on the internet and sent off to a drafter thru our builder. Only thing I'd change is a few more feet each direction in the garage as it gets tight if I drive my pickup in the garage. We were overbudget too. We they price stuff, and then you go in to pick it out, thinks will be different. To me, I'd rather go over budget and be happy than try to save 20K and wish we would have done it different. Believe it or not, the hardest part for us after the floor plan was picking out lights. Bout went blind looking at lights at several stores all day long. Good luck. | |
