Every variety is different, some just tip back because that's the nature but tip back is mostly an indication that you had the correct population. As for those ears I cannot be sure that they weren't 2nds or suckered or just a bad spot in the field. By the way 18x25x30000=13,500,000. Take that x 80k gets you 167.5 add test weight over that and that will push 180. I here this every year from Iowa and come harvest time you always here of 200+ corn. You will have it again.
