| This thought crosses my mind daily.
I work off farm currently making pretty good money and benefits but the plant will come off line June 1, 2023 and then I have 30-90 days of work depending on how fast it gets decommissioned. I currently work at a coal fired power plant.
A lot goes through my head daily if I will be able to find a job that pays well enough to support my young family. Farm could maybe support us but won't have any health insurance or anything for a few years and that's hard with young kids. Then is it worth it to go find a job that maybe doesn't pay very well just to get benefits but then maybe I won't be able to do quite as good of a job farming and lose income that way. | |
