| The guys saying down time is not a big deal in figuring a combine must be lucky. I have had a combine since 2011. The combine had 130 hour son it when I bought it. I have had 3 break downs I was down more than 3 weeks each.
I have found out I need to buy from the dealer every year or so just so they remember me when I need help.
I don't know abut current MUD deals but several years ago I think the way to go would have been trade the whole fleet every other year. I figure the first year is spent getting the bugs out. The second year is the gravy.
Now repairs are so high that perhaps the new machines under warranty are not so bad. Parts can be hard to get also. that 20 minute repair can take a lot longer if the only part available is 500 miles away.
