A guy told me a long time ago that a combine always costs as much as a really nice house. I’d say it’s still true. I see ranch houses on a city lot selling for $300-$400K, and they aren’t really nice houses. Not to defend a machinery maker too much, but if our costs are out of control, theirs likely are too.
