Central MN
My mom went into the nursing home in New London shortly before her 50th birthday. They were so good to her. She had nothing but positives to say about the staff there. Granted she would have .much rather been at home but it was physically impossible due to her condition ( towards the end couldn't really walk, move much at all, basically bed ridden). Mom had alot of visitors but she did say from 10-3 the days could get quite long as the nurses had made their rounds for the morning and all her visitors were at work.

The part that bothered me as a visitor was all the old folks in there that were wheeled out in the main room in front of the TV. They couldn't really do anything and it seemed as though no one ever came to visit them. Almost as though their family's put them in there and forgot about them. I could never do that to someone.

As for me, when I go hopefully it's quick and out on the farm. Maybe they'll find me on the shore of the lake in the woods or behind the barn. Perhaps it'll be in the cab of the 4430. Then they can take my ashes dump some of them in my favorite lake and the rest in the manure spreader and spread me on the fields and plant corn and alfalfa where I'm spread.
