IDK we give it too our sows and as far as we know none have contracted COVID 19


They can still get covid they just won’t be as sick so you likely won’t see any symptoms. Now, when they get it they won’t be infectious for nearly as long so they will be less likely to spread it to others. Of course, nothing is perfect and you can expect some breakthrough cases and some will still get sick but you just have to believe it works.

Normally, it is wise to test its effectiveness as individual results can vary, much like crop input trials. What works for one person might not work for another. Unfortunately if you’ve already treated the entire herd there will be no way to know if your treatment was effective as there will be nothing to compare it to. That might result in continuous treatment with an ineffective drug. But in the end more drugs are always better aren’t they?
